Chapter 1062 shows that Big Mom’s hometown was covered in Ice. A popular theory was that Aokiji, who had joined Blackbeard, is here to kidnap Pudding. Pudding is a member of a three-eyed race who can read the Ponyglyph after awakening their power. Blackbeard is going after One Piece; for that, he needs Ponyglyph and a way to read them.

Capturing Pudding at the moment was easiest as Big Mom was not in town, and no strong member was there to fight against Aokiji. In the previous chapter we saw that CP0 agents are headed to Egghead Island to take out Vegapunk as he knows too much about the World Government. Accompanying CP0 agents is the Kuma cyborg. He is different from the real Kuma as he wears sunglasses and has robotic arms. Kuma attacks the Luffy group. Luffy tries to counter-attack, but Bonney stops him. We then see a younger image of Kuma holding Bonney. There is no news on where Zoro, Nami, Robin, and Brook are. Chapter 1063 shifts to another place where we see Blackbeard ambushing Law in the middle of the sea. Eiichiro Oda revealed that Vegapunk is not just a single person but a group of 6 people. Although, only 2 Vegapunks have been revealed so far. Blackbeard has Jesus Burgess, Van Augur, Doctor Q, and Stronger accompanying him. They all have devil fruit powers. One Piece for the first time revealed the Devil fruit powers of these Blackbeard crew members. The ability to use Riki Riki no Mi belongs to Jesus Burgess. He has abnormally high levels of strength. Doc Q has eaten Shiku Shiku no Mi. He has the ability to spread disease to others. Wapu Wapu no Mi is eaten by Van Augur. He has the ability to teleport people. Stronger has Uma Uma no Mi Mythical Zoan, Model: Pegasus. Law manages to flee to an island in the area, but Van Augur teleports Burgess there first. The entirety of a mountain is picked up by Burgess and tossed at Law. It appears that Doc Q has arrived on Stronger. Blackbeard is currently sitting atop both of them. Doc Q transforms Law into a woman for a brief moment using his abilities, but Law is able to break Doc Q’s disease power using his Haki. Law says that a strong Haki can nullify Akuma no Mi’s powers. He also mentions that the fight against Kaidou and Big Mom provided him with a great deal of learning. Blackbeard confronts Law. Blackbeard was curious as to which of the three captains who had sailed away from Wanokuni would come into contact with him first. On the very last page, Blackbeard and Law are getting ready to clash with each other. In the final exchange of words between the two, Blackbeard says “Kaidou must have had one of them… So I will take all your Road Poneglyph!!”. Law replies: “I’m ready!! Winner takes all!!!” The situation for Law is looking dire as he not only has Blackbeard to deal with, but Blackbeard’s crew strength is second to none. On top of that, Law doesn’t have any strong fighters in his crew so he is pretty much alone fighting against five of the strongest pirates. At this moment, running away would have been a better choice. Law is pretty much done if someone doesn’t come to rescue him. According to some fans’ speculation, Eiichiro Oda is setting up a perfect opportunity to display the power of the Revolutionary army and Luffy’s father, Dragon.
